how do I connect my Robo3T to my cloud atlas cluster. Even though I’m more of a shell guy but working with GUI’s isn’t something I shy away from and so shouldn’t you according to me. For you not to get stuck in this , I’ve written this article that shows the easiest way to connect your cluster to your Robo3T . Trust me, it’s super easy.
Step1
Open your cluster on the cloud atlas website. What I mean by it is you should be on this screen ->

Make sure you have the correct Context selected on the top left hand side of the page.
Now, click on the ‘Connect’ button in the sandbox alongside the ‘Metrics’ and ‘Collections’ options. There select the ‘Connect to application’ option.
What you are likely to see now is this ->

Step 2
What you need to do now is copy this SRV string (you can use the copy button given to you). But there’s a little bit of work left, as mentioned by the Cloud Atlas instructions, you need to replace <password> with the password of the user of the DB. In this screenshot, the user is gamersGrid. If you want to change your user’s password -> Click on the database access option in the left sidebar and there select your user and change the password.
Step 3
Assuming you have gotten your correct SRV string, what you need to do now is start your Robo3T app and create a new connection.

Click on the ‘Create’ option given above the table and you will enter this screen ->

What you need to do here is simply paste your connection string into this blue highlighted box in the screenshot and then click on ‘From SRV’. What this does is automatically fill up certain details that would’ve required manual filling up by you. (Believe me, it shortens your effort by a margin.)
You can now Test your connection by clicking on Test and once that’s confirmed working you can click ‘Save’ and complete your connection.

Hooray! That’s it. That wasn’t difficult at all , was it ? You’ve completed connecting your robo3T to your cloud atlas. Hope you guys found the article helpful and do comment if you did
Or you can comment if you get stuck somewhere or get an error, would be happy to reply!
